New sensor manufacturing equipment has added to our ZENON facilities at Madrid. Now we have new capabilities for micro-machining of small and high precision sensor components. With this one, we can supply sensor high precision components using a variety of high-tech materials like ceramics, Inconel or special light alloys. Besides now we can manufacture high precision silicon and technical glasses parts.
These components are micron tolerances parts like sensor envelopes, microfluidics channels for gases or liquids sensor, and small connector boxes for microelectronics. As an example, this micron size gas chromatography sensor has been manufactured using our new equipment:
This component has 200-microns channels. And a overall size of several millimetres. It gets same functionality as done by traditional gas chromatography of several meters long.
